PLOTTING
Have a plot suggestion or idea for us? Feel free to submit it here!
Please note if you wish to contact mods with game concerns we have a different page for that. And all event posts will have a corresponding OOC post and FAQ comment, where questions for that specific event can be asked and answered.
In general we require submissions for any large scale player plots that would dramatically affect the game or multiple Drifters.
A small plot between 2-5 characters with changes limited to those characters does NOT require approval.
Examples include: turning into werewolves and hunting husk-monsters, throwing a small celebration, opening a small business on the Convoy, going on a road trip well away from the Convoy, etc.
A plot that affects more than 5 characters or causes dramatic changes to the game setting DOES require approval.
For example: blowing up a Convoy trailer, forming a large and prestigious organization, springing a mass monsterization event on a large chunk of the game, etc.
If you need a handy guide for pitching a plot, feel free to use this form. (Though these are more guidelines than ironclad rules.)
The Plot Pitch: What does your plot entail? Or do you have a “wouldn’t it be cool if this happened?” idea, that works too!
Characters Involved: Is this a game cast event? A large CR circle? Or the entire game?
Time Frame: When would you like this to take place, or are you open to whenever?
Mini Player Plot: John's Poem (Updated)
This is a low-impact player plot meant as fodder for detective-type characters. It will result in a few characters physically attacking John or vice versa during the monster storm, but no one will die or be permanently harmed. Uninvolved characters probably won't hear about it. Currently interested characters include Jayce, Levi, Akechi, Apollo, Murderbot, and Faith.
Per the event, carrying another character's note causes a "haunted senses" side effect. All John's notes can give glimpses of this vision: The alien script can convey an additional vision:The full post is drafted here.
