For transparency sake, the Moon Warps exist so we don't need to track a lunar calendar and can have them occur whenever the plot demands it. The moon itself is very much shattered, so it physically can't achieve a full-intact moon phase! (Though it can glow brighter or dimmer over different days.)

It might be easiest to have Moon Warps be the trigger, but we'd be open for different ideas if you have any!
