Mm. I think that's probably a no, then, and I can respect that line. It sounds like you all are concerned that we do service to and understand the canons and not just throw in an undeveloped or altered character and I definitely get that.
(The age-up in question is Bran Davies from The Dark Is Rising: he is post-canon. All of the "new canon" I've written for him is extrapolated carefully from personality traits/descriptions, hobbies, actions etc in actual canon. I don't have a lot of interest in making him a completely different person, especially as he's written as very much "an old soul" as a pre-teen, and due to certain events at the end of canon giving him a life after the books and an existence in time somewhere might (without spoiling the series too much) actually allow me to write him a little more like that Bran than not, but. Pretty sure that still counts as an epilogue...?
