The reason for our focus is that we want OCs from a world with set rules and logic that can be looked up and checked. Basically any canon that reasonably allows for OCs (TTRPGs, malleable protags) are allowed because they have a baseline we can work on. Even if it is extremely obscure, there’s a chance of doing research and learning a new source material. (And Kaysper, who will likely be handling all the OC apps, really loves learning new TTRPGs and hearing about people’s player characters.)
